The shields have premium coatings: an anti - abrasion hard coating on the outside and permanent anti - fog on the inside. They have an optically correct lens and a V - 50 rating for fragmentation. A 6 - foot shield length allows for gas mask clearance. Some rail - mount models are designed for helmets with the Ops - Core® or United Shield® side rail systems. Certain models also have an integral rubber seal at the shield - helmet interface to prevent liquid pass - through.
