The VRM-2 HD is an outstanding high-definition video monitor with a built-in Digital Video Recorder (DVR). This new HD system can display and record in 1080p HD format, and it's designed to work with all JW Fishers video systems. The DVR comes with a removable 64GB SD memory card, but you can use any capacity card. At the highest quality frame rate of 30 fps, a 64GB card can record for about 12 hours. Lower frame rates allow for longer recording times, though the video may not be as smooth, but the still image quality remains the same. The built-in DVR is operated via a waterproof, touch keypad. A new and easy-to-use still picture capturing feature offers more functionality. The system includes a GPS that transfers coordinates to the screen and recorded video. Time and date stamps are also recorded, and you can add text overlay with the included waterproof, USB keyboard. There's also a microphone for recording vocal notes while shooting video. Note that older model VRM’s cannot be upgraded to HD technology due to multiple hardware and software changes. If you need HD capability, ask about a credit for a new system. The VRM-1 will still be available with the MC-1 mini camera system for customers with DHC-1, DV-1, or TOV-1, and for those needing repairs in the near future. System Information: Input power is 100 to 240 VAC. Dimensions and Weights: Control Box - 17”L x 11”W x 8.5”H, 24 lbs. Monitor (built into case) - 10.4 inches, high definition, ultra bright, color. Using the VRM-2 HD is easy. First, make sure you've connected it to a power source within the 100 - 240 VAC range. Insert a memory card into the DVR, either the included 64GB one or your own. You can operate the DVR through the waterproof touch keypad. To start recording, just press the appropriate button on the keypad. If you want to capture a still picture, use the new still picture capturing feature. The GPS will automatically transfer coordinates to the screen and the recorded video. To add text overlay, connect the included waterproof USB keyboard. And don't forget, you can use the microphone to record vocal notes while the video is being shot. When it comes to recording time, if you want longer recordings, you can choose a lower frame rate, but keep in mind the video may not be as smooth. Also, older model VRM’s can't be upgraded to HD technology, so if you need HD, ask about getting a credit for a new system. For maintenance, keep the device clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you're using the VRM-1 with the MC-1 mini camera system, make sure to follow the same basic rules for power and storage.
