This target is designed for pistol calibers from 10 yards and beyond, so keep that in mind when choosing your shooting distance. When it comes to changing target heads, you don't need any tools. Just swap them out as needed. As for maintenance, since the bracket is zinc - plated, it resists corrosion and rust. But it's still a good idea to check it regularly for any signs of damage. If the nuts attaching the bracket to the target head come loose, you can use the 3/8' wrench cut - out on the left and right foot of the PT Scout stand to tighten them up. Also, make sure to store the target in a dry place when not in use to keep it in good condition.
