Product Description
The PT Scout Rifle-Rated Target Plates are crafted with durability and sound as top priorities. Each plate is made of 3/8-inch thick heavy-duty AR550 steel. We've provided grade 8 carriage bolts that are tough enough to withstand bullets and last longer than regular bolts. If heavy use wears down the plate, it's reversible! Just use the 3/4-inch wrench built into the foot of the PT Scout stand. When the target is mounted on the PT Scout stand and 2x4, projectiles are safely directed away from shooters. The large footprint and balanced center of gravity keep the target upright. For larger calibers or uneven terrain, there are staking locations on the PT Scout stand feet. Range Masters and Match Directors can trust that they're using the safest steel targets. Developed with the world's best shooters, this system is perfect for competitive environments and has been proven by top shooters like Max Michel and Rob Leatham, as well as Law Enforcement training agencies. Action Target buys more AR550 steel than anyone as we build ranges worldwide to stop and catch bullets. Our steel is plasma cut on a water table, reducing heat affected zones. The through bolts and attached spring steel bracket enhance the sound, making it easy for shooters and score keepers to recognize hits from afar. Changing target heads is a breeze, no tools needed on the range. We offer a variety of shapes and sizes for different competitions and shooters, including those for PRS, 3-Gun, IDPA, IPSC, USPSA, SASP, Steel Challenge and more. Features: 3/8-inch AR550 steel, reversible target plates, grade 8 bolts, multiple shapes and designs, factory painted target plate, zinc plated bracket to prevent corrosion, recommended for rifle calibers up to .308 from 100 yards and beyond, max recommended muzzle velocity 3000 fps at 100 yards, not recommended for use with steel core, steel jacket or other AP ammunition.
Using this PT Scout target is easy. First, mount the target on the PT Scout stand and a 2x4. Make sure it's properly secured. If you're on uneven terrain or using larger calibers, use the staking locations on the stand feet to keep the target stable. When shooting, the target will direct projectiles safely away from you. Remember, it's recommended for rifle calibers up to .308 from 100 yards and beyond, with a max muzzle velocity of 3000 fps at 100 yards. Don't use steel core, steel jacket or other AP ammunition. If the target plate gets worn down, you can easily reverse it using the 3/4-inch wrench built into the stand foot. To maintain it, keep the zinc plated bracket clean to prevent corrosion and rust. Changing target heads is simple and doesn't require any tools on the range.
