Action Targets PT Scout IPSC Classic Rifle-Rated Target Plate (AR550)
The PT Scout Rifle-Rated Target Plates are built for durability and great sound. Each one has a 3/8-inch thick heavy-duty AR550 steel plate. We use grade 8 carriage bolts that are tough enough to withstand bullets and last a long time. If the plate wears out from heavy use, it's reversible - you can easily do it with the 3/4-inch wrench built into the foot of the PT Scout stand. When the target is mounted on the PT Scout stand and 2x4, projectiles are safely directed down and away from shooters. The large base and balanced center of gravity keep the target upright. For larger calibers or uneven ground, there are staking locations on the PT Scout stand feet.
Range Masters and Match Directors can trust that they're using the safest steel targets. Developed with the world's top shooters, this system is perfect for competitive settings and has been proven by pros like Max Michel, Rob Leatham, and Law Enforcement training agencies.
Action Target buys more AR550 steel than anyone because we build ranges around the world to stop and catch bullets. Our steel is plasma cut on a water table, which reduces heat affected zones. The through bolts and attached spring steel bracket enhance the sound, making it easy for shooters and scorekeepers to recognize hits from far away. Changing target heads is a breeze and doesn't require any tools on the range.
We offer a variety of shapes and sizes for every competition and shooter. We're proud to provide targets for PRS, 3-Gun, IDPA, IPSC, USPSA, SASP, Steel Challenge, and many other competitive organizations.

Using this target is easy. First, mount the target to the PT Scout stand and 2x4. Make sure it's properly secured. If you're using it on uneven terrain or with larger calibers, use the staking locations on the stand feet to keep it stable. When the plate gets worn out from use, you can reverse it with the 3/4-inch wrench built into the stand foot. Remember, this target is recommended for rifle calibers up to.308 from 100 yards and beyond, with a max muzzle velocity of 3000 fps at 100 yards. Don't use it with steel core, steel jacket or other AP ammunition. To keep it in good condition, check the bolts regularly and make sure the zinc plated bracket is free from corrosion. If the target plate gets dirty, you can clean it with a mild cleaner. Changing target heads is simple and doesn't require any tools on the range.
