This drop box is a great solution for depositing checks, letters, paperwork, and large envelopes. It features a tubular-style key lock with a Double 'D' configuration, which can also be retrofitted with other cam locks. The adjustable chute fits walls between 3-1/4' - 7-3/4' thick, and the recommended wall thickness for installation is between 4' to 7'. With a piano hinge, a 10' wide and 1/2' thick drop slot for large envelopes and legal size papers, and a metal baffle to protect the slot, it offers both convenience and security. Pre-drilled mounting holes in the back and included mounting hardware for wood and concrete make installation easy. Two tubular keys are also provided. The exterior dimensions are 12” (W) x 16” (H) x 6” (D), with a 9' (W) x 13' (H) door clearance, a 10” (W) x 1/2” (H) drop opening, a 1/8” door thickness, a 12'-1/8 x 4'-1/8 face plate, and it weighs 25 Lbs.

Using the Protex MDL - 170 Wall Drop Box is easy. First, choose a wall with a thickness between 4' to 7' for proper installation. Use the pre - drilled holes in the back and the included mounting hardware for wood or concrete to secure the drop box to the wall. Insert the tubular keys provided to lock and unlock the box. When depositing items, open the door and place your checks, letters, paperwork, or large envelopes through the 10' wide and 1/2' thick drop slot. Be careful not to force large items that don't fit. For maintenance, periodically clean the box with a dry cloth. Check the lock and keys regularly to ensure smooth operation. If you want to retrofit the lock, you can replace the tubular - style key lock with other cam locks. Make sure to keep the box in a dry environment to prevent rusting.
