Product Description
The Action Targets PT Scout Rifle-Rated Target Plates are a top - choice for shooting enthusiasts. Made of 3/8' thick heavy - duty AR550 steel, these plates are built to last. We use grade 8 carriage bolts that are tough enough to shed bullets and have a longer lifespan. If the plate wears out from extensive use, it's reversible. You can easily flip it using the 3/4' wrench built into the foot of the PT Scout stand. When the target is mounted on the PT Scout stand and 2x4, projectiles are safely directed away from shooters. The large footprint and balanced center of gravity keep the target upright. For larger calibers or uneven terrain, there are staking locations on the stand feet. Range Masters and Match Directors can trust these as the safest steel targets. Developed with top shooters, this system is perfect for competitive settings, proven by greats like Max Michel and Rob Leatham. Action Target buys more AR550 steel as we build bullet - stopping ranges worldwide. Our steel is plasma - cut on a water table to reduce heat - affected zones. Through bolts and the spring steel bracket enhance the sound, making it easy for shooters and score - keepers to recognize hits from afar. Changing target heads is tool - free. We offer various shapes and sizes for different competitions like PRS, 3 - Gun, and more. Features include 3/8' AR550 steel, reversible plates, grade 8 bolts, multiple designs, a factory - painted plate, a zinc - plated anti - corrosion bracket. It's recommended for rifle calibers up to.308 from 100 yards and beyond, with a max muzzle velocity of 3000 fps at 100 yards. Don't use it with steel core, steel jacket or other AP ammunition.
Using this target is simple. First, mount the target plate on the PT Scout stand and 2x4. Make sure it's secure. If you're on uneven terrain or using larger calibers, use the staking locations on the stand feet to keep the target stable. When shooting, remember it's recommended for rifle calibers up to.308 from 100 yards and beyond, with a max muzzle velocity of 3000 fps at 100 yards. Never use steel core, steel jacket or other AP ammunition as it can damage the target. If the target plate gets worn out from a lot of use, you can reverse it easily with the 3/4' wrench built into the stand foot. For maintenance, the zinc - plated bracket helps prevent corrosion and rust, but still, try to keep the target dry. If the paint on the target plate chips, you can repaint it to keep it visible. Changing the target head is tool - free, so you can quickly switch it up for different competitions.
