The PT Scout Pistol-Rated Target Plates are crafted with safety and great sound in mind. Each plate has a super-smooth surface. When mounted on the PT Scout stand and 2x4, projectiles are safely and predictably directed down and away from shooters. Since there are no exposed hooks, brackets, or bolts, these targets meet the highest safety standards. We plasma cut our AR500 steel on a water table to minimize heat affected zones. Custom-designed hardened studs are welded to the back of the plate. The smaller weld area and attached spring steel bracket make a great sound, helping shooters and score keepers recognize hits easily. Changing target heads is a breeze and doesn't require any tools at the range. If the nuts on the bracket come loose, there's a 3/8' wrench cut-out on the left and right feet of the PT Scout stand. Using this PT Scout target is easy. First, mount the target plate on the PT Scout stand and a 2x4. You can then start shooting from at least 10 yards away with pistol calibers. When it's time to change the target head, you don't need any tools - just do it right at the range. Remember, this target is designed for pistol use, so don't use other types of firearms. Also, if you notice the nuts attaching the bracket to the target head getting loose, you can use the 3/8' wrench cut-out on the stand's feet to tighten them. To keep your target in good shape, regularly check for any signs of wear or damage. The zinc-plated bracket helps prevent corrosion and rust, but it's still a good idea to keep the target dry when not in use. Enjoy shooting with your PT Scout target!
