Product Description
The PT Scout Rifle-Rated Target Plates are crafted with durability and sound as top priorities. Each plate is made of 3/8' thick heavy-duty AR550 steel. We've included grade 8 carriage bolts that are tough enough to withstand bullets and last longer. If heavy use wears down the plate, it's reversible with the 3/4' wrench built into the PT Scout stand. When the target is mounted on the PT Scout stand and 2x4, projectiles are safely directed away from shooters. The large footprint and balanced center of gravity keep the target upright. For larger calibers or uneven terrain, there are staking locations on the stand feet. Range Masters and Match Directors can trust this is one of the safest steel targets. It's designed for the competitive environment, proven by top shooters like Max Michel and Rob Leatham, and used by Law Enforcement training agencies. Action Target buys more AR550 steel as we build bullet - stopping ranges globally. Our steel is plasma - cut on a water table, reducing heat - affected zones. The through bolts and spring steel bracket enhance the sound, making hit recognition clear from afar. Changing target heads is a breeze, no tools needed on the range. We offer various shapes and sizes for different competitions like PRS, 3 - Gun, IDPA, and more. Features include 3/8' AR550 steel, reversible target plates, grade 8 bolts, multiple shapes, factory - painted target plates, zinc - plated brackets to prevent corrosion, suitable for rifle calibers up to.308 from 100 yards and beyond with a max muzzle velocity of 3000 fps at 100 yards, and not for use with steel core, steel jacket or AP ammunition.
Using this target is easy. First, mount the target on the PT Scout stand and a 2x4. Make sure it's properly secured. You can place it on different terrains, but if you're using larger calibers or the ground is uneven, use the staking locations on the stand feet to keep it stable. When shooting, projectiles will be safely directed away from you. If the target plate gets worn out, use the 3/4' wrench built into the stand to reverse it. Changing target heads doesn't require any tools. Just remember, this target is recommended for rifle calibers up to.308 from 100 yards and beyond, with a max muzzle velocity of 3000 fps at 100 yards. Don't use it with steel core, steel jacket or other AP ammunition. To maintain it, keep an eye on the zinc - plated bracket to prevent corrosion. If you notice any significant wear on the bolts or plate, consider replacing them to keep the target in top condition.
